Digital and Social Media Marketing

Part of the curriculum in my Digital and Social Media Marketing class was to learn how to proficiently use Google Analytics. This project taught our class the ins and outs of Google Analytics. I had to create a demo account and analyze and evaluate the Google Merchandise store. The big question I had to answer was why the Google Merchandise Store saw a sizable decrease in traffic-related metrics, but saw a sizable increase in conversion/revenue related metrics in 2016-2017. If you are interested in my analysis of the Google Merchandise store then please click the PDF link.

Google Analytics Project

Search Engine Optimization Project

For this project, I had to select a company and research a variety of keywords that this specific company wants to rank #1 for. From there, I had to make numerous suggestions as to how the company I selected could better optimize their keyword usage. The company I chose was S'well. If you are interested to see all of the research, coding, and SEO and SEM suggestions I made to S'well for this project then please click the PDF link.

Advertising Project

In my Digital and Social Media Marketing class I did a case study on Olisur, a Chilean olive oil company. Olisur was trying to develop a campaign to help introduce their olive oils to the United States market. The assignment was to use Google AdWords to build a campaign for them. I had to select an affinity group, select demographics, choose keywords to optimize, and choose a topic our target market could fit into. I also had to design 2 banner advertisements to A/B test (split test). These banner ads had to take people directly to the o-liveandco.com homepage. From there I had to explain why the changes I made in our advertisement would make a difference to my selected target audience. If you are interested to see the campaign I came up with please click the PDF link.

BuzzFeed Project

My final project in my digital and social media marketing course involved our class forming into groups of three to pitch ideas for an original BuzzFeed article. I had the pleasure of working with Kaydon Fosler and Brittany Gietzen. We pitched multiple ideas to our professor, did all of our own research to define our target market, designed a marketing and an outreach plan, and wrote and created all content in the article.

If you are interested in reading the article I co-wrote with Kaydon Fosler (www.kaydonfosler.wordpress.com) and Brittany Gietzen then please click the link below.
